Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here!
Art Therapy & Counseling Services (ATCS) offers a warm, relational, and trauma-informed space where you feel seen, supported, and understood.
Whether through talk therapy, creative expression, or a blend of both, you’ll find a compassionate environment grounded in respect, curiosity, and collaboration. Together, we’ll explore your story, understand your patterns, and support meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
Margo Wittenbach, M.A., LPC, ATR-BC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Art Therapist based in Portage, Michigan. I earned my Master of Arts in Art Therapy & Counseling from Adler University in Chicago. I’ve worked with children, adolescents, and adults across more than 5,000 clinical hours, supporting clients through trauma, identity development, relationship stress, communication challenges, mood concerns, domestic violence/abuse, and major life transitions.
My approach is warm, relational, and trauma-informed. I strive to meet you where you are, trusting the inner wisdom you already carry, while offering reflection, support, and guidance. Together, we’ll explore your concerns, patterns, and strengths, creating space for insight, growth, and meaningful change.
I have intensive training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and hold certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I integrate creative and traditional therapeutic approaches based on your needs, goals, and comfort.
You never need any art experience to engage in art therapy. Creativity simply offers another pathway for expression, insight, and connection—especially when words feel limited or overwhelming.

You Are Welcome Here
I welcome clients of all races, cultures, identities, sexual orientations, gender identities, body sizes, family structures, and belief systems.
My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and body-inclusive. I approach therapy through cultural humility—remaining open, reflective, and aware of the ways identity, privilege, and systemic harm shape the healing process.
